Pitcher, Nutmeg and Cream

This medium pitcher holds plenty of milk for sharing afternoon tea, mushroom gravy for mashed potatoes, hot-fudge sauce for ice cream, rum sauce for Christmas pudding, and more. You can even display a hand-picked posy of wildflowers for a pretty Provence-inspired display.

After I threw this pot on the wheel, I flared out a spout, and used a pulled clay technique for the handle. Once its bisque firing was complete, I dipped the piece in clear glaze to allow the creamy white pottery to show, and hand-painted a warm brown glaze for an accent on the rim.
