White and Celadon Tea Cup 1

This white and celadon tea cup exudes a serene character from it's undulating base to the gentle blue-green tone of the glaze. This cup also makes a thoughtful gift for a birthday, host, teacher or coach, alone or paired with a specialty tea.

While still on the wheel, I used a profile rib to create a wavy base for the mug, and flared out the rim. The interior has a classic celadon glaze while on the outside, the soft white tone of the fired clay shows through a shiny clear glaze.
