White and Blue Sgraffito Rim Small Bowl

This small serving bowl can be used to share condiments, salsa, snacks or dips, or as a beautiful bowl for strawberries, ice cream or soup for one. This handmade bowl was made on the wheel in stoneware clay, then embellished with sgraffito, or hand-carving. After a first bisque firing, I applied a sky-blue glaze that would pool into the carved recesses. Finally, the piece is fired a second time for a durable vitrified finish.
