Waterfall Blue Bowl and Cup/Dip Bowl

This small bowl and cup set can be used to enjoy cereal and coffee for breakfast, soup and tea for a light meal, strawberries and ice-cream with lemonade, or any number of dishes for entertaining. Share salsa and chips, breadsticks and hummus, ranch dip and veggies, or a condiment and a small side-dish. You can even use the bowl for to display treasures and add a tealight to the cup.

I threw this bowl and cup on the wheel in stoneware clay, then after a first bisque firing, I applied a translucent powdery blue glaze overlapped with a muted medium blue for a runny silvery speckled waterfall effect. Finally, the piece is fired a second time for a durable vitrified finish.
