Sky-Blue Speckled Clay Pot

This charmingly minimalist bud vase pairs an uplifting sky-blue translucent glaze over warm brown speckled clay. Its informal flair works well as a succulent planter, too. The pot is versatile enough for modern or traditional interiors, and makes a unique gift idea. It's so versatile, in fact, with its food-safe glaze, you can even use it as a small serving bowl for food such as dips, condiments, salsa, candy and more.

For this handmade ceramic vase, I threw the form on the wheel and once fired, I hand-painted the glaze two-thirds of the way down the form to allow the the speckles within the clay to show.
