Sakura Chip & Dip

With its fresh and sophisticated cherry-blossom design, this platter makes your snacks even more scrumptious. Nachos and salsa, chips and dip, veggies and hummus, buffalo cauliflower and chipotle mayo, spring rolls and plum sauce…the only challenge will be choosing which one to serve.

This stoneware platter with bowl were thrown in two pieces on a potter’s wheel before being attached and fired together in an electric kiln. Then I hand painted the cherry blossom design on the platter and fired the piece a second time. Finally, I painted three coats of clear glaze all over and a pale pink on the rim for a glossy and durable finish.
