Medium Sakura Branch Vase

Gentle branches of sakura buds adorn this charming vase. Enjoy the anticipation all year of blooms just about to burst. Fill with fresh flowers, sprigs of greenery, everlasting floral stems, or enjoy as a pretty accent piece in itself.  

I threw this ceramic vase on the wheel in durable stoneware, and once it was bisque fired, I hand-painted petal-pink buds and brown stems in underglaze before firing it a second time to fuse the pattern to the vase. Finally, I hand-painted a translucent cherry-blossom- pink glaze inside, a nod to the colour explosion waiting to happen that each flower bud holds within it. It's ready for your favourite blooms!
