Ocean Blue Bowl

Dark and dramatic variegated tones suggest a roiling ocean tide on this unique pottery bowl. To achieve this effect, I brushed on shades of rutile blue, jasper and white glazes in overlapping layers. While decorative, the gently rimmed bowl is completely functional.
