Leafy Bud Vase (Seconds)

This blue ceramic bud vase makes a charming and functional accent piece that adds a modern whimsical touch to home decor. For this handmade ceramic vase, I threw the form on the wheel and hand-painted the surface with several coats of slip (liquid clay) in a custom-tinted sky-blue shade. I then carved it using a technique known as sgraffito and painted the buds and leaves with underglaze. The handcrafted textured colourful vase has a shiny clear glaze for durability and gloss.
