Hydrangea Tall Vase with Flared Rim

This striking large decorative vase makes an elegant and functional accent piece that adds a modern natural touch to home decor. For this handmade ceramic vase, I threw the form on the wheel and hand-painted the surface with several coats of slip (liquid clay) in a custom-tinted sky-blue shade. I then carved hydrangea blossoms using a technique known as sgraffito. The handcrafted textured blue vase has a shiny clear glaze for durability and gloss.
