Evergreen and Olive Nesting Bowls, set of 2

This richly coloured set of nesting bowls boast a dark olive tone paired with a runny evergreen shade. Both decorative and functional, the large bowl makes a wonderful fruit bowl, salad bowl, or large pasta dish for families or gatherings. The medium bowl works well for side-dishes, snacks and small side dishes. 

I threw these bowls on the wheel, fashioning the silhouettes and flared rims to complement one another. Once bisque-fired, I painted them with a combination of a dark neutral olive, overlapped with a runny evergreen colour to achieve these variegated green tones, and accented the rim with a rich brown shade.

This set makes a lovely gift for showers and weddings, or a gift to yourself to enjoy every day.
