Daisy Chain Serving Plate

Inspired by flower blooms and a vintage woodblock print, this charming serving plate is embellished by hand with eye-catching cascades of cheerful blooms. Brighten your kitchen and display as a beautiful accent, or charm your guests with hors d'oeuvres, cheese and crackers, freshly baked cookies, muffins, fruit slices and more. 

After first firing this wheel-thrown plate in an electric kiln, I drew each flower in a repeating pattern and painted underglazes. The painted pattern gets set with a second firing in the kiln. Finally, I used a glossy clear glaze for a smooth finish before its final glaze firing.
