Cat Themed Pot

Add a touch of greenery (maybe some catnip) and the happy cat on this adorable pot can brighten any corner, from a windowsill, to a nightstand or a desk. This pot makes a unique inexpensive gift for a plant lover, cat lover, host or teacher.

This wheel-thrown pot started out round, after which I gently encouraged an oblong shape to the rim, with turned out edges, perfect for a pair of cat ears. I painted this smiling cat face with underglaze, including a velvety black tone for the fur on the back of the pot. Finally, the piece is dipped in clear glaze for waterproofing and durability.
