Appetizer Set

Festooned with fern fronds, this five-piece set features a unique organic beauty. The style is versatile enough to fit with relaxed or refined gatherings. Serve festive hors d'oeuvres, flavourful appetizers, olives, dips and more.

I hand built this set using a slab of clay that I impressed with the fern texture, after which I added a scalloped edge to the plates and pot. I chose a vitrifying food-safe glaze for the pot and the top surface of the plates, and a rustic iron-oxide stain for the base of each plate. The set includes four small plates and one pot.
