Cedar Imprint Vase

I made this vase with paper clay by rolling out a slab, pressing a fresh cedar frond into it, and fashioning the cylinder with a seam that turns the construction into a decorative highlight. After its first firing, I painted on green and brown glaze in a light layer to subtly emphasize the cedar motif. Next I cut out a hole to allow for the addition of a embellishment of a crystal, in pale green to echo the colour scheme, that I attached with wire.
